Just a quick note to bring three new finds to your attention.
We have a nice Roman broach, some more samian ware and a spindle whorl, which was part of the machines used before the spinning wheel was invented.

Interesting to see the bone spindle whorl - exactly the same shape as some stone ones I've recently seen in Turkey. They were much earlier though - from an Iron Age excavation, which was slightly earlier than the British Iron Age.
When are we going to have another update, final report of the season, or whatever? A lot of interested armchair archaeologists are waiting....
